You can change your display name, but your legal name requires documentation.

How to change your display name

1. Open the app and go to Settings > Profile > Edit Name.
2. Enter your new display name.
3. Tap Save.

Your display name is updated immediately across the app.

Changing your legal name

If your legal name needs to be updated (e.g., due to marriage or legal name change):

1. Contact support at hello@cashmatrix.ng.
2. Provide:

• Your current legal name
• Your new legal name
• Supporting documentation (marriage certificate, court order, etc.)

1. We'll verify and update your legal name within 5 business days.

Important notes

• Display name changes are instant.
• Legal name changes require verification and may take up to 5 business days.
• Your legal name must match your BVN records.

Tip: Use your display name for personalisation. Your legal name is used for regulatory compliance and cannot be changed without documentation.
